What is an e-ticket?
In 2021 Assembly Festival joined other Fringe venues in fully embracing e-ticketing technology. After a successful pilot in 2019 and trials at our year-round venue, Assembly Roxy; e-tickets proved to be an essential response to the pandemic and we helped drive the change that saw e-tickets become the default choice at the Edinburgh Fringe this year. You still have the choice for a paper ticket for those of you who like a memento of your experience; just visit one of our box offices in person, and the team will be happy to help.
All Assembly Festival shows are e-ticketed so there’s no need to collect physical tickets. Once you’ve booked your ticket(s) you’ll receive a confirmation email from [email protected] containing a QR code – this is your ticket.
How do e-tickets work?
Once you've booked your ticket(s) you'll receive a confirmation email containing a QR code – this is your ticket. If you've booked tickets for multiple shows in a single transaction, this QR code will be the ticket for every show in that transaction. You will need to show the QR code on arrival at your venue(s); you can do this on your phone or tablet, or print it if required.
How do e-tickets work if we're a group arriving separately?
If you won't be arriving at the venue at the same time as the rest of your party, you should forward your e-ticket to everyone attending. They'll be able to use the same barcode to gain entry. Please ensure you let our Front of House Team know how many tickets you would like to validate when you arrive.
Where can I find my e-ticket?
You can find your e-ticket in your confirmation email.
You can also access your QR code via your account on our website. Simply log in then visit Account > Purchases.
If you think you have not received your confirmation email, please check your junk / spam folder. If you still can’t find it get in touch with us by emailing [email protected] or by calling +44 (0)131 623 3030
What if I can't use e-tickets?
If you don't have access to a mobile device/email / printer, or if e-ticketing presents another access issue for you, please get in touch with our customer service team on +44 (0)131 623 3030 or email [email protected]
For many performances, general concession prices are applicable to students, registered unemployed, customers with disabilities, senior citizens (65+) and children under the age of 18. Proof of status must be presented at the venue. Concession tickets are only valid when accompanied by appropriate identification.
If you require a Personal Assistant Ticket, please get in touch with us on [email protected]
When a show is listed as 'Not Available', this means we do not have any tickets left to sell.
All Assembly Festival venues are General Admission only. This means we do not have set seat allocations. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the start time of your show to ensure you get the best seat available.
If you have any access requirements, please visit our Access Page for more information or you can contact us on [email protected]
If you have a question about a booking you have made, please contact our Box Office team by emailing [email protected] or by calling 0131 623 3030. Please note, we are only able to assist you if you have purchased through Assembly Festival's website, at our Box Office or over the phone.

Our Box Office Team will contact you via email/phone to alert you of any changes to your booking. If you do not wish to attend on an alternative date, we will issue you a refund automatically.

Your Visit
We are based in Edinburgh at Assembly Roxy year round, run Assembly Festival at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (we are the longest-running of the curated multi-venue operators) and tour with the best of our programme.
Throughout the year, we host theatre, music, comedy and events in the beautiful Roxy in the heart of the Old Town. An example of our previous credits include Nirbhaya, which we premiered at the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and we have since toured to London’s Southbank Centre and to New York, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore in India. In short, we bring the best talent in the world to Edinburgh.
After the cancellation of events in 2020 and a small-scale festival in 2021, 2022 was our delayed 40th year at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We were delighted to be able to celebrate the past, present and future of Assembly with yet another diverse and exciting programme.
All shows will have an Age Rating and Event Warnings in the Event Information listed on the website. You can also filter your search on the What's On page to search for shows specifically for Children and Families.
Please note, it is our patron's responsibility to check the Event Information before purchasing tickets.
